August 2010: Another award-winning restoration from Pride! Congratulations to Tom McCormick, the proud owner of L-39C N455TM! His airplane won the Best L-39 award at EAA's AirVenture Oshkosh 2010.
Pride Aircraft was awarded the Silver Wrench Award for the painstaking restoration of Tom's gorgeous L-39. In what may be a first, the aircraft was actually displayed at Oshkosh in pieces! The tail section of the aircraft was detached and the engine was removed, allowing full and close-up viewing of the interior of the airplane for the airshow visitors and judges. The display attracted thousands of visitors during the week, and we got many, many positive comments and complements.
Pride continues to prove that if you simply want the best, we can provide it. Call us today for more information on our restoration services.
